How to Gain Momentum

Are you stuck in a dead-end career, feeling like you're never going to make enough to break free from the monotony? Trust me, I've been there.

I know what it's like to dream of a better life for yourself and family, but feel trapped by your circumstances.

That's why I embarked on this journey to transform my financial situation and, more importantly, my life.

My mentorship under Justin Brooke and my work with Happily Unemployed have been game-changers.

Each week brings new lessons, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

This isn't just a path to financial success—it's a journey of becoming someone, a journey toward a fulfilling and enriched life.

Setting Up My Keyword Map

In the second week, I faced the daunting task of setting up my keyword map.

Using a tool called SEMrush, I dove into the vast world of broad match keywords around "how to get rich."

It was overwhelming at first, but I soon realized that creating a comprehensive keyword map is a crucial step for my content strategy.

This map is my blueprint for the next 52 weeks, ensuring I cover a wide range of relevant topics.

It's about laying a strong foundation for consistent and engaging content that will attract and retain readers.

It will establish me as a credible authority on the topic of how to get rich. And that is exactly what you need to do.

If you are wanting to gain traffic, leads, and sales. You need to pick a topic. Niche down to something you're interested that has room for you.

Pick something new to blog about for 52 weeks do someone keyword mapping by researching it on SEMRush or SpyFu.com and follow this plan.

Content Strategy and Traffic

One crucial lesson I learned is that the first problem I thought I was having which is traffic to my website isn't a problem at all.

It's the content needed to attract, engage, provide value to my ideal client and keep that traffic.

See here is how it was explained to me. Anyone can spend $150 to $300 a month to drive real niched down traffic to a website.

But the content is king, and without a steady stream of quality posts, any traffic driven to my site would be wasted.

You have to give the people what they came for and do it in a way that is meaningful.

The goal is to build the relationship and personal marketing muscles. You have to build the habit of posting weekly.

By focusing on blogging about one of your mapped out keywords each week, I'm creating a rich repository of content that will pay dividends over years.

Lead Capture and Sales Funnel

But here's the kicker: most people don't actually have a traffic problem—they have a lead capture and sales funnel problem.

I said it earlier but it bears repeating, anyone can spend money to drive traffic to a niche website.

The real challenge is capturing those leads and converting them effectively through a well-designed sales funnel.

Without these elements, even the best traffic strategies won't result in meaningful growth.

It's like pouring water into a bucket full of holes; you need a solid system to capture and retain that precious traffic.

Leveraging Social Media

Social media is a powerful tool, and I learned the importance of leveraging it, specifically X (formerly known as Twitter), to promote my blog posts.

By breaking up each weekly blog post into five sections and tweeting about different parts each day, I stay on topic and consistently engage my audience.

It's about building a brand and a narrative and keeping the conversation going.

Each tweet is a breadcrumb leading back to my blog, creating a web of content that draws readers in.

Plus posts on twitter pointing to my blog are also one real back link.

Building Momentum

Despite my initial skepticism and doubts in week one, week two I just decided to suspend disbelief and execute on the plan.

The results were encouraging: I gained my first new follower on Twitter and my first and second subscribers to my blog.

The ball was rolling, albeit slowly.

However, momentum will only pick up from here.

Each small victory builds on the last, creating a snowball effect that will eventually lead to substantial growth.

Content Creation and Performance

For Week 2, I wrote about "Top 10 How to Get Rich Books: Insights and Inspirations for Wealth Building"

Then I learned my title was entirely long but I kept it that way because I'm documenting my mistakes as well as my successes.

The title would have been perfect as Top 10 How to Get Rich Books.

Considering my small following, on X, I started posting about the blog and surprisingly enough the post performed well, with the best post on this topic receiving 39 views.

It's a promising start and an indication that my content is resonating with my new audience. The algorithm is at work and putting me in front of people around my niche.

The more I stay on topic the more my influence and credibility will grow on How to Get Rich.

The key is to keep producing valuable content and stay patient as my new audience grows.

Audience Feedback and Engagement

I received 3 likes on the social post about my week 2 topic, which is pretty good for starting from no followers.

While there are still no comments yet, I am optimistic that engagement will grow over time.

Each like and follower is a step forward in building a community around my content.

It's about celebrating the small wins and staying motivated through the process.

Most Rewarding Aspects

The most rewarding aspect of my journey so far has been building something that I truly care about and helping people learn.

I know there are a lot of people out there who want to watch someone start from scratch and struggle to excellence.

It's all well and good when the experienced and email-rich people get it done.

But when someone with no emails and no followers grows and shows you can build, it gives the people hope.

The second rewarding aspect is working with Justin and building this amazing relationship and friendship.

Justin is a really fun guy and an amazing person.

I really like how he suddenly bursts into moments of praise or celebration about the most random things he is working on.

It's like he is pumping himself up and charging the atmosphere with good vibes.

Next Steps

As I move forward, the focus will be on maintaining this momentum, continuing to produce quality content, and engaging with my audience.

Week 2 taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and following a well-structured plan.

The journey is just beginning, and I am excited to see where it leads.

One More Thing

Looking back at Week 2, the journey has been intense but incredibly rewarding. Not in terms of amazing results but because I'm building momentum and consistency.

I'm becoming the person I dreamed of in my youth.

For anyone out there, especially those who feel stuck in their careers and are yearning for a change, remember this: it's never too late to start.

The path to financial freedom and personal fulfillment is challenging, but with the right guidance, perseverance, and a willingness to learn, it is absolutely achievable.

Keep pushing forward, and stay tuned as I continue to share my journey and the valuable lessons learned along the way.
